Jean Priest is the owner and advisor of J Priest Solutions Retirement & Insurance LLC. Her insurance career began in 2010 as a preferred partner of Mass Mutual. In 2011, Jean received rookie of the year award for the most life cases placed in the agency. Having been in sales her entire working career, Jean fell in love with the opportunity to truly help others when it matters most.

Jean is the offspring of much older parents (youngest of 5 siblings), her father passed in 2021 at 96 years of age and her mother died from Alzheimer's at the age of 87 in 2015. Jean’s mother was a retired Mississippi school teacher who had an excellent retiree health care program for both her mom and dad. In 2012, an unscrupulous insurance agent took advantage of Jean’s father, selling him a health plan that rendered her parents virtually uninsured. After many hours on the phone with Medicare and other insurance companies, Jean was able to reinstate the retiree program and resume the benefits her mother had earned. This nearly disastrous event caused Jean to think new and afresh about the senior market and how important it is for agents to do what is best for their clients and how a fiduciary role is so important. The entire unfortunate experience prompted Jean to birth J Priest Solutions Retirement & Insurance. By the end of 2012, because of her intense passion and drive, Jean had mastered the wealth of information about Medicare, long term care, preservation of principal, and all insurance products that are appropriate for the senior market.

J Priest Solutions helps to minimize financial health care risks by staying abreast of the ever-changing and rising cost of healthcare and prescriptions in our country and suggesting viable solutions. Through ongoing education and intuitive software, they help people maximize their choices in selecting Social Security benefits and fill in the gaps when it is not enough.

Everyday, Jean, along with her husband Mark, helps people make the best decisions for the products that fill in the gaps around the Medicare system. For the disadvantaged, they help with eligibility for government aid and available independent programs. For the advantaged, they help with safe retirement strategies and income planning, with Social Security being an important part of their income strategy.

Jean and Mark have been married for 32 years and have two sons, Steven, 29, and Justin, 24. Their home and office are both in DeSoto County and they have been active in “planting” a new church, Simple Church in Olive Branch (Come Join Us)!
